Massage services
What I offer
Therapeutic massage
A general full-body massage at moderate pressure, with extra time spent on tight areas. Good for everyday aches and general tension.
Sports massage
Work concentrated on the muscle groups commonly used by athletes and active people. Good before or after an event.
Deep tissue massage
Firm, slow strokes that work into the deeper muscle layers and the fascia around them. Good for long-standing tightness in the back, neck or shoulders.
Full body massage
Covers the whole body in one session: back, shoulders, arms, legs and feet. Good for overall relaxation rather than one problem area.
Lymphatic drainage
Very light, repetitive strokes at skin level. Much gentler than a standard massage, and good if firm pressure is not comfortable for you.
Trigger point therapy
Direct, sustained pressure on individual knots rather than across the whole muscle. Good when you can point to the exact spot that is sore.
Cupping and scraping
Suction cups placed on the skin, and gua sha, a smooth-edged tool drawn across it. Good for a tight back or shoulders, and usually added to hands-on work. Both leave temporary marks.
Reflexology
Thumb and finger pressure on specific points of the feet, worked one area at a time. Good for relaxation.
